Course Description

This programme has been designed and created to provide students with a greater knowledge and understanding of this subject area. Distance learning is an increasingly popular method of study. It provides students the flexibility to study at a time and pace to suit the individual. This means you can fit gaining an education into your busy lifestyle.

You can expect to learn more about the key principles of managing business projects. Students will explore the roles and responsibilities of the project manager as well as investigate the project management process and how to effectively establish teams and resources. Students will also learn more about how to define timescales, monitor projects, how to resolve any issues that may arise, close a project, and much more!

To successfully complete the Project Management programme, learners will be required to complete four units, all of which will explore a different aspect of this subject area. It will provide students with a real insight into a range of topic.

Modules

Unit 1 Introduction to project management
Unit 2 Initiating and planning the project
Unit 3 Implementing, monitoring and controlling the project
Unit 4 Completing the project

Previous Knowledge

The good news is there is no previous learning knowledge or experience needed to enrol on to this programme. This makes our Project Management programme easily accessible to anyone who would like to learn more about this subject area.

Assessment

Students will be required to complete a range of written assignments in order to successfully complete this course. Your personal tutor will review, mark and provide you with feedback on your work. Learners are not required to sit an external examination.

Awarding Organisation

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement by ABC Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the details of all the units you have completed as part of your course).

The course has been endorsed under the ABC Awards’ Quality Licence Scheme.  This means that Kendal Publishing has undergone an external quality check to ensure that the organisation and the courses it offers, meet certain quality criteria.  The completion of this course alone does not lead to an Ofqual regulated qualification but may be used as evidence of knowledge and skills towards regulated qualifications in the future.  The unit summary can be used as evidence towards Recognition of Prior Learning if you wish to progress your studies in this sector.  To this end the learning outcomes of the course have been benchmarked at Level 2 against level descriptors published by Ofqual, to indicate the depth of study and level of difficulty involved in successful completion by the learner.

The course itself has been designed by Kendal Publishing to meet specific learners’ or employers’ requirements. ABC Awards’ endorsement involves a robust and rigorous quality audit by external inspectors to ensure quality is consistently met.  A regular review of courses is carried out as part of the endorsement process.

Support

Students will receive a course manual and a study guide which will help when it comes to the assessment process. Students will be assigned a personal tutor who will be on hand to answer any questions or queries you may have. You can feel confident that unlimited support is available for a period of up to 12 months. Your personal tutor will review, mark and provide you with feedback on your work.
