Course Description

Did you know that there are over 4.7 million people in the UK currently working in Business, Administration and Governance?
Did you also know that a further 10 million people are working in roles that require administration skills on a daily basis?

Many sectors are now entering a critical period. The ageing "baby boomer" population is approaching retirement and beginning to reduce their hours to part-time or leaving their full-time administration work posts altogether.

For some organisations, these phenomena may help create leaner and smarter teams. For others, this means that a huge amount of capability and experience will leave their work in administration over a relatively short period of time. And currently, administration replacement demand is running at 1.2 million people over the next five years.

More than 97% of all UK organisations acknowledge the crucial importance of administration functions to business success. So the prosperity of individuals, businesses and the nation is going to depend, in part, on your acquisition of professional administration skills.

This Business Administration Diploma is a level 3 course. This requires you to obtain detailed knowledge, skills and understanding within a relevant field. It demonstrates team leading and specialist technical skills with competence in communication, problem solving and applied teamwork. Example job roles for this level include Personal Assistant, Secretary and Administration Clerk.

This Business Administration Diploma course will provide you with the knowledge required to be able to carry out an administration function effectively and efficiently.

It covers three areas, all central to the administrative role:
Organising skills
I.T. skills
People skills

The job of an administrator is to communicate. To receive process and transmit information from departments, to other departments.

You communicate with other people everyday – when you talk to them face-to-face, send a text message, make a telephone call or write an email. You also regularly receive communication from other people – by post, telephone, face-to-face and online. Until you start work for an employer, your communications are mostly between you and your friends and family, and are always informal and usually friendly!

There may be odd misunderstandings or minor difficulties, but the consequences of errors are unlikely to result in serious problems or financial loss. When you start work the situation changes. You are now involved in sending and receiving a wide range of business communications.

This Business Administration Diploma programme aims to provide you with all the knowledge to become a good administrator whether in the public or private sector, or working in a not for profit environment.

Our aim is to provide you with the best deal available when purchasing this Business Administration course, therefore registration fee, certification fee and full tutor support is included in the course price for you.

    Brilliant support

Brilliant feedback and support. Don't have to wait long at all for a reply when I need help, and work is marked virtually the same day.

    Really enjoyed my course!

I have really enjoyed my course, I have learnt a lot and enjoyed doing my assignments and getting feedback. I would recommend this course to anyone in administration that wants to learn more as the tutors give you all the support you need and are available to talk to. It has filled me with a great sense of achievement knowing that I have down my best. I possibly will be undertaking another course using this site, I am just waiting for the right one to come along. I am wanting to look at doing a basic Marketing course as I do work for that department being the Admin assistant. Thank you for all your help throughout this year.

    Business administration Diploma

Was an interesting course. There was a lot of questions that were repeated but was put in a slightly different way word wise.
The feed back came back quite quickly.
This is the second course I have done with NCC and I find them really trustworthy

Prompt and efficient - very helpful

I thought that the office staff at NCC Resources were extremely helpful. All of my queries were answered promptly and efficiently. I felt that I was supported throughout my course. My modules were marked very quickly, and the tutor gave useful feedback. Maybe the course handbook could be a little more visually appealing (including photos etc.) and perhaps some of the questions could have more evaluation, for example asking students to evaluate how effective their organisation is in certain areas.

    A great distance learning provider

By completing modules I was able to show my understanding of the subject and create a portfolio that I can keep to prove my knowledge.

NCC is a great Distance Learning Provider, excellent service and fantastic value for money. I have recommended you to my colleagues, and will definitely study again.

    Good

There were times this particular course was frustrating as it appeared to ask the same questions a few times - only worded slightly differently, so if you answered a question thoroughly you found that you were repeating yourself. There may be method in this type of questioning but as an experienced office person I personally found it a little annoying.

Other than that small gripe the customer service and tutor support was excellent. This is the second course I have entered into through NCC (previously HR Diploma Level 3) and I am sure I will do more in the future.

I am looking forward to receiving my certificate in due course.
