A review by Lord Browne has recommended that universities in England should be able to charge unlimited fees.

The proposals set out a free market with charges of up to £12,000 a year for a degree course, however universities that charge more than £6,000 a year would lose a proportion of the fee to help cover the cost of student borrowing.

NUS President Aaron Porter has warned that students will be deterred from applying to university if tuition fee caps are removed.

With University becoming less of an option, students may have to find alternative routes of Further and Higher Education/to continue their education.
