DURATION: 160 HOURS
The Dyslexia Awareness programme would be suitable for any individual who has Dyslexia or who may come into contact with those who have the condition. This level 2 course will aim to give an insight into what is a very complex condition. The learner will be guided through the potential barriers that can be associated with dyslexia within a school environment or the workplace. The important issue of individual’s feelings towards the condition is also explored.
This condition affects a wide variety of people and is not necessarily apparent when meeting someone. The importance of understanding the condition and how to identify it is extremely important, as is knowing the best way to deal with any problems that may arise.
As well as the negative effects of this condition, there are also a number of strengths that an individual can possess. Individuals with the condition are likely to be inventive, artistic, creative and sporty.

No previous knowledge is required for this course.
You will receive the Dyslexia Awareness course manual, assignments and study guide plus tutor support by mail and email. Our student support team are also available for any other queries that you may have whilst completing your programme. You can be assured that 12 months unlimited support is available for your home study Dyslexia course, so there is no need to struggle or feel isolated during your studies.
Students will be required to complete a number of assignments. Your personal tutor will review, mark and provide you with feedback on your work. You will also need to complete a short multiple choice examination.
