Choose well is a national NHS communication campaign, which aims to:
- Help people to understand the NHS services they have in their local area and what they offer
- Signpost people to the right services if they have a common health complaint, or minor illness or injury, so they get the right treatment
- Help them to understand how to self-care for common health complaints, minor illnesses or injuries
Make sure that NHS services are used properly
Illnesses such as coughs and colds, flu and stomach upsets are unpleasant for people but self-limiting. They can be managed by following some basic advice. Local high-street pharmacists provide accessible, expert advice and treatment without the need for an appointment.
