This week Alcohol Concern launches Alcohol Awareness Week from the 19th to 25th November 2012.  This years theme is ‘It’s time to talk about drinking’.

One of the nation’s defining features is that people love to talk about drinking – but are we having the right kind of conversation?

This awareness week gives great flexibility to have all kinds of conversations about the health risks, social problems, stigmas and taboos associated with talking about the dangers of alcohol.

Although this week aims to raise awareness of the dangers and issues relating to alcohol, Alcohol Concern campaigns all year round for effective alcohol policy and improved services for people whose lives are affected by alcohol-related problems.

If you would like to learn more about this course why not consider taking the Understanding Substance Misuse QCF Qualification covers alcohol misuse and will provide the learner with an increased understanding of these issues and the possible responses and interventions.
