Course Description
This Health Care Diploma has been designed to give an opportunity for those working in a Care environment to build on their skills to progress in Health and Social Care.
Working in the care sector, you have responsibilities to provide a service to your clients and to respond safely and effectively to their needs. This programme will help you to develop the skills needed to do this and achieve a qualification that recognises your achievement.
This Health Care Diploma is concerned with your role, as a care worker, in identifying ways of communicating on difficult, complex and sensitive issues, in a variety of settings and situations.
Also explored are ways the care worker can support others to communicate and update records and reports.
The Diploma is also concerned with concerned with how you promote, monitor and maintain security in the work environment. You are required to provide evidence of how you keep yourself, individuals and others for whom you are responsible safe and secure and minimise risks arising from incidents and emergencies (including health emergencies).
You will also examine and analyse methods of reflecting on and developing your practice.
Updating your knowledge and taking action to enhance your practice are vital to meeting the changing needs of individuals in your care, and the demands of a rapidly advancing health care system.
Previous Knowledge Required
The good news is that no prior learning knowledge or experience is essential to take this course. This course is openly available to anyone wishing to learn more about working in the Health Care sector and would like to take part in a highly rewarding home study course. You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 12 months from initial registration with full tutor support.

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Level 3 NCFE certificate of achievement. That means that it is independently accredited at a level of learning equivalent to Level 3 on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
