Course Description

The CIEH Health and Safety course aims to provide students with a better understanding and greater knowledge of this subject area. Students will be required to study a number of modules, all of which will explore a different aspect of health and safety.

This course is designed to provide learners with an awareness of health and safety matters within the workplace and covers a broad range of issues, such as; how to work safely, noise and heights, and what to do when things go wrong. Students will be required to complete an examination at the end of the course. You are sure to find this subject interested and informative. Other areas you can expect to investigate include manual handling, fire and electrics, and also COSHH. This course will equip employees with the necessary knowledge and skills required to provide a safe working environment.

Ideally everyone in the workplace should have basic knowledge of health and safety practices. It is a legal requirement that all companies comply with the Health and Safety legislation in order to protect all staff. Even if you have received training on health and safety, it is important that you take refresher courses in order to keep your knowledge up to date with any changes in legislation. Not only are managers/employers responsible for health and safety in the working environment, but so are all employees. This is the ideal programme for anyone in a work environment.
