Course Description
The Supporting Activity Provision course provides a meaningful programme of activities for those living in care can have a positive and immediate impact on their self esteem. The course will help staff working or wanting to work in social care to gain a better understanding of what activity provision is and how simple everyday activities can be therapeutic and have an impact on our mental health. The relationship between engagement in everyday activity and well being will be explored. Learners will be guided through supporting the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of activities, including the skills and knowledge required to provide an inclusive and person centred service.
Studying this course will be beneficial to staff in a variety of care settings, including residential, day care and respite. It will help people to adopt a more person centred approach, improve their understanding of activity provision as well as provide the skills and knowledge needed to set up, deliver and review activities. Learners will have a better understanding of how this provision will impact upon the lives of those they care for.

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Level 2 NCFE certificate of achievement. That means that it is independently accredited at a level of learning equivalent to Level 2 on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

NCFE is recognised as an awarding body by the qualification regulators ('regulators') for England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
