The purpose of the qualification is to support learners in a work role by providing underpinning knowledge of a wide range of business administration activities.

The NHS has seen a surge in mental health cases due to the world-wide pandemic and other contributing factors. This course has been designed for anyone who is curious about Mental Health and wants to understand more about the different areas of Mental Health. The purpose of the qualification is to provide learners with an understanding of the signs that an individual may be self-harming or having suicidal thoughts. The qualification is also designed to support learners in raising awareness of the subject and to encourage open conversations that could prevent individuals from self-harming or from having suicidal thoughts.

This course is part of a nested suite of qualifications that enable the learner to progress from this qualification and utilise the completed units towards the next progression: Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Certificate Level 3 or the Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools Level 3 Diploma RQF. Both of these courses require that the learner has a placement of at least 50 hours within a school setting working with pupils at Key Stage 1 or above.

This Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools RQF course equips current or aspiring teaching assistants with essential skills and knowledge to effectively support learning in primary, middle, or secondary schools. Whether you’re known as a teaching assistant, learning support assistant, or SEN assistant, this course is fully accredited and backed by tutor support, it’s your practical pathway to a recognised qualification.

NCC, in partnership with TQUK, has developed the level 4 hlta course online, designed specifically for individuals who aspire to become Higher Level Teaching Assistants but currently lack a school placement to gather the required evidence for a Certificate or Diploma qualification.

This accredited Ofqual qualification using the RQF framework will serve as evidence that you possess the necessary knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the HLTA role within the classroom.

The TQUK Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant Award is regulated by Ofqual, providing employers with the assurance that you possess the essential knowledge necessary to excel as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).

The TQUK HLTA Level 4 Diploma is a recognised Ofqual qualification utilising the RQF framework, and is exclusively available through NCC. Not only demonstrating to employers that you have the requisite skills to become a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), but in addition enables you to achieve a Level 5 unit to aid continued academic progression.

In collaboration with TQUK, NCC have taken the lead in creating this new HLTA Level 4 Diploma, which can be pursued as an independent course or obtained as a supplementary HLTA qualification upon successfully completing the HLTA Level 4 Award and/or the HLTA Level 4 Certificate.

If you haven't secured a placement that allows for mentor observations and witness testimonies, which are prerequisites for pursuing the Diploma qualification, you might want to explore the TQUK Level 4 Award for Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - 610/2726/1. This Award is also a Level 4 RQF ofqual regulated qualification, but it is focused on knowledge rather than practical experience.
