After learning the basics about the nail industry, equipment and nail products, you will learn how to choose, fit and blend an appropriate nail extension tip, how to produce the perfect mix of Acrylic liquid and powder and how to apply it to the different areas of the nail. Shaping the Acrylic to a perfect profile and finish is a critical step done in minute detail on a single finger and then again on the various nail shapes and sizes of the whole hand. At the end of the course you'll be able to service your first client and charge your first fee!

Previous Knowledge Required

The good news is that no prior learning knowledge or experience is essential to take this course. This course is openly available to anyone wishing to learn more about acrylic tip and overlay nails and would like to take part in a highly rewarding home study course.

Assessment

Students are required to post progress cards and question papers back to us. We look at each nail you've created, prepare a report for you on your work and issue a distinction, credit, pass or fail. Should you fail, we will annotate each problem and suggest a way you can improve. Resubmission of work for re-assessment is free, and most students who have failed the first time pass on the second attempt. Upon completion you will receive a handsome certificate and can obtain your liability insurance and start work immediately.

Our certification is nationally recognised within the nail industry. On completion of the courses and on passing, you would have qualified as a Nail Technician in the system that you have chosen. The certification gained will allow you to obtain your insurance and work on human hands whether you decide to work from home, be mobile or work in a salon.
