NCC provide regular blog items which can be found on the NCC Home Learning website. The blog contains features about the charity work of NCC, new programme development, interesting articles and a variety of useful resources. Learners and interested parties can also add lots of additional information on NCC’s Facebook and Twitter pages where regular updates are provided. NCC also promotes competitions via these media. As they say about the lottery, ‘you have to be in it to win it’.
We work with a number of Awarding organisations, Colleges of Further Education, authors, technical editors, proof-readers and formatters in order to keep our learning materials fresh, up to date and accurate.
The programme development team liaise with the Awarding Organisations we work with to obtain approvals, including endorsement of the learning resources, because at NCC, we believe that this provides confidence for leaners that NCC has undertaken a rigorous process of development. Further, the Awarding Organisations visit NCC’s offices frequently to assess and ensure that we are meeting appropriate standards. On all occasions NCC achieves a clean bill of health, this ensures ensuring that NCC are able to continue to promote qualifications with the full approval of the Awarding Organisations.
Also, for our online learners, we offer an opportunity for learners to interact with other learners doing the same or a similar course, across the globe, through our online student forums.
NCC Home Learning is also visible on a number of review sites, including:
Trustpilot – www.trustpilot.co.uk.
Review Centre – www.reviewcentre.co.uk.
It is also worth considering NCC’s competitors when making a purchase decision. The review sites are a good place to start, or contact the home learning companies and ask who owns and delivers the learning resources, as many sell on behalf of NCC and other companies.
A further important point to consider, NCC complies with the Distance Selling Regulations and provides a 14 day cooling off period. Make sure if purchasing from other organisations that they also meet the minimum requirements.
NCC has won four business awards in the last three years: Online Business of the year, Youth Employer of the Year, Business Education Collaboration Award and Apprentice Career Path of the Year, all of which provide evidence of what NCC has been achieving for almost twenty years.
