This qualification provides learners with a firm foundation in the most common areas of human resource (HR), which will assist them to develop essential HR skills.  It is aimed at those who are new to HR, work in a HR support role and wish to develop their knowledge and skills or who are looking to further their HR career with a professional qualification. 

The programme aims to provide the learner with the knowledge and skills of what is required of an individual working in a HR role. The course will investigate a key area of HR in each unit in order to provide the learner with a detailed understanding of the sector as a whole. 

The course is ideal for those who are looking to consolidate their knowledge in Human Resource and will provide both a sound understanding of how to effectively work in HR and provides a qualification that can be used to show evidence of this. 

The course is divided into seven units, each covering a different aspect of Human Resource. To achieve the qualification, the learner must achieve all 26 credits. 

This Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Human Resource (HR) Practice (QCF) has been accredited by the Register of Regulated Qualifications (Ofqual) and is part of the Qualifications Credit Framework (QCF). The course has been endorsed by Skillsfirst, a nationally recognised and approved awarding organisation.

Previous Knowledge Required

The good news is that no prior learning knowledge or experience is essential to take the Principles of Human Resource (HR) Practice Certificate Level 3 QCF course. This course is openly available to anyone wishing to increase their knowledge in the area of human resource and are looking to do so by working from their own home, in their own time. You have the freedom to start the Principles of Human Resource (HR) Practice Certificate Level 3 QCF course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 12 months from initial registration with full tutor support. 

Although no previous knowledge is required to study this course, learners may wish to bundle this course with our Equality and Diversity Certificate QCF – PI501 to make you more desirable to potential employers or to increase your worth in the workplace.

Assessment

Learners are required to complete a tutor marked assignment at the end of each unit. Each unit of the course will look at a different aspect of Human Resource, and the learner is expected to be able to show evidence of the skills they have acquired. The assignment requires learners to use various techniques to form arguments and conclusions including: analysing data, understanding different approaches and forming theories based on evidence. 

Upon successful completion of the 26 credits, students will receive a certificate of achievement from the awarding organisation, Skillsfirst.

Upon completion of this qualification the learner will be awarded a QCF Certificate of Achievement from Skillsfirst along with a Unit Summary which will list all the units that have completed as part of this course.
