The Intermediate Mathematics Skills programme is ideal for adults or young person who would like to develop and enhance their skills. This course is suitable for adults or young person who would like to develop and enhance their mathematical skills. The certificate is broken down into small units (Awards) which will help you to build your confidence and ability in a range topic areas. This course strives to help learners to work towards Mathematic Functional Skills at Entry Level 1.

Learners can expect to learn more about the foundations of maths including how, when and why we use them. You can expect to learn more about using calculations, fractions, decimals, percentages and much more! This programme will enable students to highlight what you may already know, as well as teach you something new or a new method of working with mathematics. Students will be assigned a personal tutor who will be on hand to answer any questions or queries you may have during your course. You will have access to 12 months tutor support so there is no need to struggle or feel isolated throughout your studies.

Previous Knowledge

The good news is there is no previous learning knowledge required to enrol on to this programme. Learners have the option to complete a diagnostic test which involves a short online exam. This test will provide students with an idea of what level your current skills are at. You will be provided with a breakdown of what questions you got both right and wrong, which you may find useful.

Assessment

Students will be required to complete 14 units. Your personal tutor will review, mark and provide you with feedback on your work. Students are required to obtain all 21 Credits to claim the certificate of achievement.

Awarding Organisation

At the end of this course successful learners will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement by ABC Awards. The Course has been endorsed under the ABC Awards’ Quality Licence Scheme. This means that NCC Resources Ltd has undergone an external quality check to ensure that the organisation and the courses it offers, meet certain quality criteria. The completion of this course alone does not lead to an Ofqual regulated qualification but may be used as evidence of knowledge and skills towards regulated qualifications in the future.
