This Home Learning programme has been developed to enable those working, or hoping to work, in a customer service role, in any type of organisation or context, to acquire and develop, a level of understanding and skills that will help them to service customer requirements in a professional, effective, and efficient manner. In this increasingly competitive world there are many organisations, which on the face of it offer potential customers the same products or services, The organisations that understand the importance of customers and how dealing with them in a way that not only meets, but exceeds their expectations are the ones that stand out from the rest, become the successful market leaders and that grow and prosper.

Exceptional customer service does not just happen; it must be planned for and delivered by staff at all levels, in all disciplines and in every area of the organisation working together as a team. It requires staff to be trained to understand the principles and practices involved and to be equipped with the knowledge and skills to deliver it. Delivering effective customer service is essential to the success of all organisations whether they be in the private, public or not for profit sectors. This programme has been designed to equip the learner with the knowledge, understanding and skills to deliver effective customer service irrespective of the type of organisation in which they are working or intend to work. The programme consists of nine modules, each of which relate to a particular aspect of customer service.

Previous Knowledge

The good news is that no prior learning knowledge or experience is essential to take this course. This course is openly available to anyone wishing to learn more about the study of Customer Service and would like to take part in a highly rewarding home study course. You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 12 months from initial registration with full tutor support.

Assessment

Theoretical information is provided throughout the course, followed by a series of activity questions that are to be completed and marked by your personal tutor.

Awarding Organisation

At the end of this course successful learners will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement by ABC Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the details all of the units you have completed as part of your course).

ABC Awards is a leading national Awarding Organisation, regulated by Ofqual, and the Welsh Government for their qualifications on the national framework ie the Qualifications and Curriculum Framework (QCF). It has a long-established reputation for developing and awarding high quality vocational qualifications across a wide range of industries. You will receive the course manual, assignments and study guide plus tutor support by mail and email. Our student support team are also available for any other queries that you may have whilst completing your course.     Very helpful course!

    Customer Service Diploma is a very good course if your role involves dealing with customers every day and I would recommend it to anyone as every role includes some type of customer service. I have no complaints about NCC Home Learning - they provide very good feedback from completed modules and give good advice on how to improve next time.

    I am proud of my achievements

    I would like to say a huge Thank you to Sally Swift and my tutor Ray Rew for supporting me through this course. They were both very helpful, supportive and prompt with their replies and reviews on my course work. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and although I found out I knew quite a lot about Customer Service already, this course gave me the confidence to put forward my ideas and thoughts in return earning the respect and trust from my company and colleagues to give me more responsibilities within my present role.     I am planning to complete other courses with NCC!

    I have found this course completely enjoyable and full of professional information, which has been relevant to my workplace.
