Course Description

The environment is an issue that is a concern to us all. This can be on a personal, national, global or business level. The purpose of the course is to provide students with knowledge of environmental legislation and responsibilities. The information provided allows learners’ to gain an understanding of how to put these requirements into practice.
Learners will gain an understanding of environmental impacts, as well as personal and social responsibility. Students will explore the importance of the environmental law and how to ensure compliance with legislation.
The course has been developed to provide a user friendly and easily understandable training resource to help the development of employees Environmental Awareness. The course is an interactive, online experience including a number of learning styles to ensure that you have the best learning experience possible.

In 2006, new EU legislation introduced HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) legislation into the UK.

This necessitated a review of food safety training to combine the old 'Basic Food Hygiene' training with HACCP. The new training is called Food Safety Training at levels 1 & 2. These standards have now replaced the old Basic Food Hygiene standards.

This course is ideal for employees who work in a catering, retail or manufacturing environment. This can include people who are preparing, handling and also the cooking of food.

The programme focuses on the slightly more advanced aspects of food safety and makes employees aware of the many variables that can impact handling and preparing food. If you are looking to develop skills in food safety, this course will fulfill all of your needs.

The programme is carried out entirely online through NCC's Virtual Learning Environment. The course lasts approximately 4 hours (depending on learning speed) making for a time efficient way of educating yourself or staff members.

The course examination consists of 20 multiple choice questions, of which 90% need to be answered correctly in order to receive certification.
