{"id":336,"date":"2014-02-18T12:04:47","date_gmt":"2014-02-18T12:04:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/digitalnext.me\/nccblog\/?p=336"},"modified":"2020-04-14T09:22:06","modified_gmt":"2020-04-14T08:22:06","slug":"brand-new-course-understanding-epilepsy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ncchomelearning.co.uk\/blog\/brand-new-course-understanding-epilepsy\/","title":{"rendered":"Brand New Course &#8211; Understanding Epilepsy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncchomelearning.co.uk\/understandingepilepsy-product-784.html\">Understanding Epilepsy<\/a> course aims to build on your understanding of what it means to have epilepsy and your caring experience.<!--more-->\u00a0 The course will suggest lots of ideas about how you can help people in your care who have this condition.<\/p>\n<p>The programme is suitable for staff working in hospitals, care homes, day centres, and in people\u2019s own homes.\u00a0 This is reflected in the words used to refer to the people receiving care; \u2018patient\u2019, \u2018resident\u2019, and \u2018client\u2019 are used.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncchomelearning.co.uk\/understandingepilepsy-product-784.html\">Understanding Epilepsy<\/a> programme is at Level 2, the equivalent of GCSE or \u2018O\u2019 Level. This programme is divided into 12 modules, each covering a different aspect of the condition of epilepsy.<\/p>\n<p>There is an activities booklet containing the activities you need to complete successfully to pass the course.\u00a0 These are marked by a tutor, who will give you written feedback on your assessments and also give you support and guidance. Each module is assessed by a module assessment, so there are twelve assessments in total.
