The survey suggested that consumers would be spending approximately 15% less on gifts and around 5% less overall during the Christmas period.<!--?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = \"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office\" \/--><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: auto 0cm; text-indent: 0cm;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">However, online sales are expected to continue to buck the trend, with sales expected to rise again this year.
