Course Description

The Drugs Awareness programme is designed to be an introduction to drug use and misuse, and aims to provide the student with basic knowledge of drugs and other related substances and the health issues surrounding them.

The Drugs Awareness course covers both legal and illegal substances and looks at their effects, consequences and legislation. It also offers an introduction to drug use in society and the relevant responses and interventions.

The OCN (North West) Level 3 Counselling Diploma is a practical and stimulating course, ideal for individuals with no prior counselling knowledge. The course will help you develop the skills you need in order to work on a one to one basis with people in need of help, guidance and support.

This distance learning counselling course is highly rewarding, exciting and challenging and is the perfect home study course to provide an excellent foundation of information and deeper understanding of counselling, paving the way for further study and a future career within the varying fields. The Diploma in Counselling offers deep exploration and a step by step guide to work through the whole process of counselling from the initial meeting through to the end of the counselling relationship.

Previous Knowledge Required

The good news is that no prior learning knowledge or experience is essential to take this course. This course is openly available to anyone wishing to learn more about drugs awareness and counselling and would like to take part in a highly rewarding home study course. You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 12 months from initial registration with full tutor support.

Assessment

Drugs Awareness

Completing a series of tutor marked assignments together with a multiple-choice questionnaire will lead you to the highly acclaimed Level 2 Certificate in Drugs Awareness.

Counselling

The Counselling Diploma OCN (North West) Level 3 is assessed by completion of a series of tutor marked assignments. When your assignments have been successfully completed, you will be awarded with the highly acclaimed Diploma in Counselling OCN (North West) Level 3.
