Course Description
The OCN (North West) Level 3 Counselling Diploma is a practical and stimulating course, ideal for individuals with no prior counselling knowledge. The course will help you develop the skills you need in order to work on a one to one basis with people in need of help, guidance and support.
This distance learning counselling course is highly rewarding, exciting and challenging and is the perfect home study course to provide an excellent foundation of information and deeper understanding of counselling, paving the way for further study and a future career within the varying fields. The Diploma in Counselling offers deep exploration and a step by step guide to work through the whole process of counselling from the initial meeting through to the end of the counselling relationship.
Upon completion of the OCN (North West) Level 3 Diploma in Counselling, you will also have the ability to join 'Counselling', a rapidly expanding professional membership organisation for counsellors and psychotherapists in the British Isles.
Counselling has almost 2,500 affiliated CCC Registered Counsellors. After obtaining your certificate you can register free at http://www.counselling.ltd.uk/ and use the letters ‘CCC Reg’ after your name.

Previous Knowledge Required
You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 12 months with full tutor support from initial registration. The guided learning hours (glh) for this course is 120 hours, but actual duration will depend on the amount of time you can personally commit to your studies.

You will receive full personal tutor support by mail and email. Our student support team are also available for any other queries that you may have whilst completing your course. You can be assured that unlimited support is available for your home study course, so there is no need to struggle or feel isolated during your studies.
Assessment
The Counselling Diploma OCN (North West) Level 3 is assessed by completion of a series of tutor marked assignments. When your assignments have been successfully completed, you will be awarded with the highly acclaimed Diploma in Counselling OCN (North West) Level 3.

Awarding Body
