Course Description

It is hard to escape sensitive issues that arise in the workplace, but it is possible to be prepared for them. The Awareness in the Workplace course will enable you to identify and prevent delicate work issues sensitively and effectively, such as bullying, sexual harassment, stress, personality clashes or even alcohol and drug abuse, which are just a few of the issues that employers and employees may have to face in their daily work. The Awareness in the Workplace course aims to promote procedures that help guard against all forms of discrimination and conflict in the workplace and advises on health and safety throughout an organisation.

 

Previous Knowledge Required

A reasonable level of business and organisational understanding is assumed.

Please note the minimum system requirements to run our online courses are:

  • Pentium 500 MHz or faster
  • 128 MB or more RAM
  • Graphic card capable of displaying
  • 256 colours or more
  • 16 bit sound card (optional)
  • Mouse/Pointing Device Required
  • A network interface card to run the course from the web server In order to view course content, the user requires an appropriate Microsoft® Windows® operating system - Windows® 98 to Windows XP®

 

Support

This course is completed totally online and therefore no printed workbooks will be required; all your study materials will be available via our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) accessible via the internet. You will be provided with a unique login and password. You will be able to monitor your progress throughout your course on the VLE.

Our student support team are also available for any other queries that you may have whilst completing your course. You can be assured that unlimited support is available for your home study course, so there is no need to struggle or feel isolated during your studies.

 

Assessment

Assessment throughout the course will be by completing online assignments, answering questions and completing an online end test; for all of these you will get immediate online results and feedback. Your end of course test will last approximately 30 minutes.
