Course Description
The NCFE Level 2 Award in Nutrition and Health has been accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) and is part of the Qualifications Credit Framework (QCF). It has been developed in response to rising levels of obesity in both adults and children. The Foresight study suggests that if current trends continue, by 2050 about 60% of men, 50% of women and 25% of children in the UK will be obese. The rising obesity levels could cost the country £45 billion a year by 2050 through increased care requirements and missed working hours.
