Course Description

Managing Food Safety Certificate


This Managing Food Safety Level 4 qualification is ideal for personnel with responsbility for the following jobs and functions: Quality Assurance, Production Managers, Owners or Managers of Food Businesses, Supervisors with intermediate food hygiene knowledge , Hygiene auditors, with options for Managers in Catering or Manufacturing settings.

This Level 4 Certificate follows the RSPH syllabus, meets relevant National Occupational Standards and includes Government guidelines for healthy eating.  It also meets UK/EU Legal requirements.

This Managing Food Safety Certificate is certified to UK Level 4 Standards regulated by OCN.

The objectives of the course are to:

  • Enable candidates to be able to contribute to the management of hygiene in a wide variety of food businesses
  • Ensure that candidates are able to determine further training requirements
  • Ensure that candidates can identify areas for legal compliance and determine good practice
  • Ensure candidates understand the relevance of HACCP in improving food safety
  • Ensure canddiates can promote and encourage good standards of food safety
  • Enable candidates to be able to liaise with enforcement officers
  • Enable candidates to be able to deliver food hygiene training (with appropriate training skills) 

The course is delivered online and learners are supplied with a unique username and password to access the course.

 

Previous Knowledge Required

You must have previously completed the Level 3 Award in Food Safety or have relevant experience.

Full access to a tutor is available during the course should you require any assistance.

 

Assessment

Courses start at any time and you learn at your own pace by completing the modules and online activities and quizzes to test your knowledge.   Testing is continuous throughout the learning by self assessment and final online end of course multi choice test.
