Course Description

Health Care and Psychology Diploma Bundle

The Health Care Diploma has been designed to give an opportunity for those working in a Care environment to build on their skills to progress in Health and Social Care.

Working in the care sector, you have responsibilities to provide a service to your clients and to respond safely and effectively to their needs. This programme will help you to develop the skills needed to do this and achieve a qualification that recognises your achievement.

This Health Care Diploma is concerned with your role, as a care worker, in identifying ways of communicating on difficult, complex and sensitive issues, in a variety of settings and situations. Also explored are ways the care worker can support others to communicate and update records and reports.

If you have ever wondered why people do the things they do, then the Psychology Diploma is for you! Psychology is the study of mind and behaviour and so in this course you will discover how psychologists have come a long way in understanding human behaviour and the mental processes that underlie our actions.

The Psychology Diploma has been written especially for NCC Home Learning by Dr Matthew Smith and Elizabeth Ottley. Matthew Smith is a former Associate Professor of Psychology at Liverpool Hope University with nearly 20 years’ experience of teaching and research in Psychology. His work in the media even included a stint as the resident psychologist/parapsychologist on the television show Most Haunted.

Please that you will need to carry out additional research in order to receive the Diploma upon completion.  This aspect has been included in order to improve the learner’s research skills.
