We offer a range of A Levels where we guarantee to prioritise the marking of your coursework so you are fully ready to take your exams in June of each year.

An Advanced Level in Economics is a perfect qualification for those wishing to acquire knowledge and understanding of the subject to enable them to study at a higher level at university. It also provides a progression route for further training whilst in employment.
This specification is designed to:
AS Level
At AS, this specification will enable candidates to develop an understanding of, and an insight into, micro and macroeconomics:
Unit 1: ECON1 Markets and Market Failure
Examination: 1 hour 15 minutes
Unit 2: ECON2 The National Economy
Examination: 1 hour 15 minutes
A2 Level
At A2, candidates develop the micro and macroeconomics already learnt at AS, considering economic concepts and theories in greater depth and recognising the values and limitations of economic models.
Both A2 modules explore two contemporary and relevant contexts: the global context, which includes the impact of globalisation on UK economic performance; and the European Union context, embracing the effect of EU membership and economic policy on the UK economy:
Unit 3: ECON3 Business Economics and the Distribution of Income
Examination: 2 hours
Unit 4: ECON4 The National and International Economy
Examination: 2 hours

AS +A2 = A level in Economics. Both AS and A2 level courses and examinations must be successfully completed to gain a full A level.
Previous Knowledge Required
No prior knowledge of the subject is required, however basic knowledge is desirable.
It is recommended that students have attained GCSE or equivalent communication and literacy skills in English and numeracy skills in mathematics.
Support
Our A Levels come with tutor support for 18 months.
You will have access to a tutor via our student portal who will mark your work and guide you through the course to help you be ready for your examinations. In addition you will be supplied with a comprehensive Study Guide which will help you through the study and assessment process.
Assessment
The course contains a number of assignments which your tutor will mark and give you valuable feedback on. We call these Tutor Marked Assignments (TMAs). You need only send the TMAs to your tutor for comment, not the self-assessment exercises which are also part of the course to help you gauge your progress.
Exams are taken at an AQA centre and we can provide an extensive list of centres for you within the course pack.
