Course Description

Criminal Psychology Diploma ONLINE This is the online version of the Criminal Psychology Diploma. If you are interested in the paper version of this course, please click here. This Criminal Psychology Diploma can be studied without any prior knowledge or can be studied as a follow-up programme from our original level 3 Criminology course. In this Criminal Psychology Diploma we will examine the topic of the history of crime and punishment. We will briefly examine different theories of offending before examining the psychology of violent crime in some detail. The examination of the psychology of violent crime provides a useful introduction to forensic psychology and offender profiling. During this Criminal Psychology Diploma we also examine the psychology of terrorist crimes, domestic violence, drug abuse and youth crime and victimology, before taking a look at crime prevention and community safety and the criminal justice system and those involved in its management.   At the end of each section of this Criminal Psychology Diploma there are a number of activities, 50% of which are designed to get you to organise the information you have acquired into a format that you feel comfortable with. You are also required to write 1 of a choice of 2 x 500 word essays after completing each section. It is only the essays that need be submitted for assessment to receive your Criminal Psychology Diploma.
