Course Description

The Ascentis Certificate in Safe Handling of Medicines is designed for all health care staff whose duties may bring them into contact with medication. It would benefit all those seeking clear guidelines and advice regarding the various elements of safe administration of medicines.

This course aims to provide the student with a thorough understanding of the principles and practices of working with medicines. On completion of the programme an individual will be familiar with the correct procedures for the administering, handling and disposal of medicines.

Previous Knowledge Required

The good news is that no prior learning knowledge or experience is essential to take this course. This course is openly available to anyone wishing to learn more about the safe handling of medicines and would like to take part in a highly rewarding home study course. You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 12 months from initial registration with full tutor support.
