Course Description
The aim of this distance-learning programme is to provide the carer with a thorough understanding of the principles and practices of working with medicines.
On completion of the programme an individual will be familiar with the correct procedures for handling, administering, and disposing of medicines. This material provides all staff, supervisors and managers with the essential knowledge needed to offer the very best professional approach to the managing and safe handling of medicines.
On completion of the materials the learner will be familiar with the correct procedures for the receiving, storing, administering, handling and disposing of medicines. It also covers the different catagories and types of medicines as well as the benefits and risks associated with different types of medicines.
