Course Description
The NCFE Level 2 Award in Safeguarding Children and Young People has been accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority and is part of the National Qualifications Framework. It is an ideal qualification for those who work with children and young people who require specific training in this area.
This qualification has been developed in response to the Every Child Matters: Change for Children agenda. The qualification is supported by the Children’s Workforce Development Council, the Training and Development Agency for Schools and Lifelong Learning UK .
The qualification consists of three mandatory units:
Unit 01 Explore and understand roles in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
Unit 02 Understand legislation and policies which safeguard children and young people
Unit 03 Develop personal skills to effectively contribute to the safeguarding of children and young people.
Previous Knowledge Required
No previous knowledge is required.
Support
You will be provided with comprehensive materials designed to provide you with everything required to complete your course of study. You will have your own dedicated tutor who will guide you through your course work and answer any questions you may have. Additionally our Help Desk will provide you with any practical advice by email or phone. Full tutor support is provided for a period of 12 months and included in the cost of the programme.
Assessment
To be awarded the NCFE Level 2 Award in Safeguarding Children and Young People, you must complete all three mandatory units. By successfully answering all of the activities and questions in the workbook, you will achieve certification for this qualification.
