Course Description

The aim of this self-study course is to provide a comprehensive guide to crime detection and examines in detail a range of techniques used for scientific evaluation of evidence.

This is an ideal course for anyone wishing to improve their knowledge of crime and its detection.

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a level 3 NCFE Award certificate of achievement. That means that it is independently accredited at a level of learning equivalent to level 3 on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

 

Previous Knowledge Required

No previous knowledge is required.

 

Support

You will be provided with comprehensive materials designed to provide you with everything required to complete your course of study. You will have your own dedicated tutor who will guide you through your course work and answer any questions you may have. Additionally our Help Desk will provide you with any practical advice by email or phone.

 

Assessment

This course is assessed through a series of tutor marked assignments. No attendance at an exams centre is required.

NCFE is recognised as an awarding body by the qualification regulators for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The regulators are the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual) in England, the Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills (DCELLS) in Wales and the Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) in Northern Ireland.
