Course Description
The NCFE Fiction Writing course looks at the practical aspects of getting published plus the essential elements of both short stories and novels. The programme is designed for anyone considering the professional authoring of fiction and studies a variety of media including books, short stories, radio and television. It focuses also on the different techniques and styles available to the creative writer.

Previous Knowledge Required
There are no formal entry requirements and no previous experience is required to take this course although you need to have an access to a PC with Microsoft Word or Microsoft Works installed. You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 12 months from initial registration with full tutor support.
Support
You will be provided with comprehensive materials designed to provide you with everything required to complete your course of study. You will have your own dedicated tutor who will guide you through your course work and answer any questions you may have. Additionally our Help Desk will provide you with any practical advice by email or phone.
Assessment
The NCFE certificate is gained by successfully completing a series of tutor marked assignments.
