Course Description
The aim of the learning material is to give individuals an introduction to the issues around stereotyping, prejudice and discrimination, to identify the basic rights that all people should enjoy and the shared values people have, and to examine the responsibility each person and organisation has in ensuring that barriers to participation in society are removed.
The objectives of the material are to help learners to raise their awareness of the issues surrounding equality and diversity and demonstrate this awareness through their actions in the home. VRQs are nationally recognised qualifications which are based on the national framework of qualifications at all levels. Like NVQs they cover the functions of managing activities, people, resources, information, energy and quality.
