Course Description
Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) is the progression award following PTLLS and should be taken by those who are deemed to be in an “Associate Teacher Role”. This means someone whose role and responsibilities are to teach predominantly in at least one of the following ways: From packs/pre-prepared materials and therefore have fewer responsibilities in the design of curriculum and materials On a one-to-one basis A programme confined to a particular level, subject or type of learner including short courses.

Previous Knowledge Required
Applicants will need to meet the requirements for an associate teaching role (PTLLS or equivalent) and also be expected to: Hold a subject specialist qualification at NQF level 3 Hold NQF Level 1 qualifications in English Language and Maths. This book is designed to provide you with the underpinning knowledge to undertake the qualification with confidence. The book does not provide you with the qualification itself but describes the concepts behind the constituent parts of the qualification, including: Planning and enabling learning Principles and practice of assessment Equality and diversity Preparing for the coaching role Preparing for the mentoring role Evaluating learning programmes.
